I'm Tired

Traveling makes me sleepy and boring.

I don't have a lot of solid plans for this week and that's fun because life is unpredictable. Do you know where you're sleeping this weekend? Maybe you think you do but you never know when your boyfriend might die or your roommate might show a meth addict her safe and next thing you know you're getting robbed at gunpoint. These things happen. You've got to be prepared and if you ask my Polish friend Dawid, a pinball machine is the best way to teach a child survival skills.

I remembered a few things today on the ferry ride from Belfast to Liverpool. One of them was Mother's Day. We were waiting at Essence Bakery for my grandma, she was late. Turns out she was late because she had picked up a prostitute.

Another thing I remembered is.....I was living with Michael and Sivan and they had found this piece of paper crumpled up on the ground outside. It was a detention slip and the reason for the detention was "referring to the Content Mastery room as the 'retard room'". The teacher had signed it but the parent signature was mysteriously absent.

There were interesting people on the ferry. One of them was The Most Unhappy Looking Pregnant Woman. She was the opposite of glowing. Then there was The Drunk Irish Girl Who Could Still Walk and Scream Quite Well. She had drawn glasses on her face with magic marker and she tried to start a conversation with The Scaredest 14 Year Old Girl.

Oh yeah, Belfast. I worked on my drinking, played Scene It, watched Enchanted, and took long baths. Not much different than Tempe but Julia was there.
